Our dances tell the story of Te Ika a Maui, the Fish of Maui.

If you look closely you will see that we use different levels in the element of space. You might see fish moving through the water or waves crashing over waka.

We use the element of relationship when when move in unison to show a waka rocking in the waves, you might also see us working in unison to paddle the waka out to sea or when we are fishing.

Can you spot when we change tempo with the beat of the music.  You will see that we increase and decrease the speed of our movements.

We use lots of pathways in our dance can you see the directions we move in.

Hi we are Nhu, Alex B, Joshua, Augustine,Sophie,Evan and Travis.

This dance shows the story of Te Ika a Maui, the great fish of Maui.

In this dance you can see lots of different elements by the names of levels when we grow as trees ,locomotor when we tip toed around the cave, space when we were being the waves, body shape when we pretended to be fish, we used the element pathway when we were straight and curved for the caves. Hope you enjoy our dance.

Our dance tells the story of  The Great Fish of Maui, in our dance you will see that we increase and decrease our actions and speed when the tempo gets faster and slower. We use all the levels which are high, medium and low. When we use these levels we are making waves crashing over the waka, intersecting or dancing unison.

We are telling a story through dance it's about Maui and the big fish.  In our dance we used locomotor movement such as walk, jump and roll in our waves and fish.  We also used pulse space and had a body base.  Body base is manly sitting, standing, kneeling and lying.   We used the element of space by moving in different directions.  We used the element, relationship too such as linking unison, beside,between and much more.  Can you spot us using pathways.  Also Mimi suddenly jumped up.  We used energy a lot.  You will see us making levels!

Hi this is Ollie, Camille, Aydan, Caelan and I’m Alex. We are telling the story of how Maui fished up New Zealand with the problem of the two brothers. Using the elements unison is copying someone in time, explosive when we finish the cave. Increasing our speed or decreasing our speed compared to the tempo of the music.

You might see us change levels in our dance,  also chopping something, Try and find out when that happens. All together to make a dance together.
